The Problem

Given the number of transitional housing programs in place in California at this time we have enough beds for one out of eight youth exiting the foster care system. While adding transitional housing programs for foster youth is a positive move in the right direction, the overall impact is minimal due to the magnitude of the problem. Founded by Claudia Asprer, a Microbiologist by training, has been a Foster Parent for the last 14 years to over 80 young people, plus her own biological children. She has witnessed first-hand the overwhelming need for this program, and the lack of resources available.
